The 23rd Symposium of the International Association for Cyanophyte/Cyanobacteria (IAC) Research will be held from 3-8 August 2026 at the University of Liège in Liège, Belgium. 

This meeting has been held approximately every three years since the first IAC was organized in 1960 in Kastaniebaum, Switzerland. In 2026, for its 23rd edition, the symposium will take place in the vibrant city of Liège, Belgium.

For 65 years, this meeting has brought together international experts on all aspects of cyanobacteria/cyanophyte research, from basic to applied research! The week will provide an opportunity to discuss every aspect of our blue-green friends, wherever they may be!

Logistical details, the website, registration information, the program, and guidelines for submitting abstracts to the symposium will be available soon, so stay tuned! 

The deadline for abstract submissions is set for the end of May, so you have time to finish your final experiments and analyze your data before submitting.
